Pours an effervescent honey color with 2 fingers of cream-colored head. Average head retention & lacing
S: Toasty some caramel, really good nose
T: Toasty, some woody hops, a little toffee too up front. Plenty of pine & toastyness once this beer is warmer, very dry, a smidge of caramel too. Finishes toasty, dry with woody hops
MF: Light/medium body, slight carbonation, skewed hoppy for the style
Delivers great flavor for the ABV, solid stab at the style

Pours a burgundy-brown with a nearly clear translucency. Head is two fingers of khaki foam. Aroma is toasty, crackery, earthy, and bready malts. Good, dry malts throughout without a lot of sweetness. Flavor profile is crackers toast, bread, earth, and caramel malts. It has a little fig at the back, bringing with it some additional sweetness. Grassy hops add some further zest. Slight hop stick at the end, but is 90% non-overly-sweet malts. Mouth feel is medium in thickness. Texture is soft initially, but turns more flat at the close. Overall, solid malty red ale. Old school.
