On-tap at Steelhead Burlingame
A: The pour is a surprisingly vibrant red color with a thick, creamy, khaki colored head.
S: The amount of spice in this beer is impressive, but still really well balanced. Lots of cinnamon, clove, all-spice, and orange peel. A solid malt aroma with an almost pie-crust like note to it and it's slightly creamy.
T: The same big spice character is present on the palate. It's almost like a slightly over-spiced pumpkin pie. A bit of warming alcohol to go with a sweet bready and creamy caramel malt flavor.
M: The body is medium to full with a smooth, low carbonation.
D: This was probably my favorite of the beers they had on tap, and it was actually quite good. I'd gladly have this one again.
