On tap at Battle Street Brewery in Dansville, NY.
This one pours a thin looking inky black color, with a small foamy head, and not much lacing.
This smells like thin wispy smoke and bitter roasted malt. It smells like tinder ready to go up in flames.
The flavor confirms it- this is just insanely dry, and not in a great way. It's also very watery, and very thinly flavored, with the only flavor profile being light smoke and astringent roast.
This is very light bodied, very thin, and very watery, with a lingering astringent bitterness on the finish.
The beers from this brewery need a lot of work.
