Aged in barrels, this strong pale ale is golden with a malty, toffy like, light caramel, sweet character.

A big, creamy white head slowly drops from 3 inches to a thick blanket. Big patches of lace are deposited on a Pretentious Beer Glass Company dimpled mug. The beer is gem clear, dark gold to light amber.
It smells of sweet toffee and light bread dough. There are some floral notes and sadly a soapy closing.
This is very sweet front to middle, with sharp bitterness late and lingering into a long finish. Malts are far more present than hops. Toffee is prominent throughout, and it lacks earthiness.
A medium to full body with a slick texture. Alcohol is below expectations and carbonation is light.
This is a decent beer, certainly within the style range. It needs tuning of the dials and a few tweaks. Regardless, it was enjoyable on an early Sumer afternoon out back with chirping birds.
