Ziegenzug translates to "Goat Train" and this light colored, medium bodied lager is made with 2-row Munich and Carahell malts. Hopped and dry hopped with Perle hops for traditional German flavor and aroma.

Fills a GrowlerWerks insulated pint with a clear to medium amber beer (SRM 7-8). A half-inch, almond head holds for a few minutes of creaminess before leaving a coating of lace and a thin blanket.
The aroma is very simple, with light, delicate grain.
Similarly, the flavor is light and delicate. Bitterness is a surprise up front, as it displaces the sweetness. These flavors are all about the grains, which feature rice and light rye. The finish is pleasant and mild as it lingers.
A medium body with a nylon texture. Alcohol is slightly below expectations and carbonation is light.
This is clearly a table beer, though it would be good while playing baseball or other sports in the afternoon. I imagine it would also work well with light food…perhaps a clambake.
