On tap at brewery:
Bruised peach solid-looking cloudy body. Full pour didn’t show head, and after sitting for a couple moments, only a thin ring remained. That line left a mark at each level of drink, however.
Nose has the detractions (for me) of sweetness and a dose of oats, though others may enjoy those notes and they’re common enough. The mostly fruity notes are tropical flowers, papaya, candied orange and a little pineapple.
Feel is medium leaning thick, and fairly smooth, though there is a slight “hop burn.” The generic sweet and tropical carries from the nose, but the flavors aren’t as distinguishable as the nose. Again with a give and take, the bitterness is decent for this style (good), but some of that is nutty oat notes (not my favorite). Grapefruit pith and generic unripened fruit skin are a familiar and welcome bitter flavor.
A nice representation for the cloudy IPA fan than still wants a touch of bitterness in their IPAs.
