8 oz pour at the brewery. Pours a dark reddish copper with a small head. Aroma and flavor feature dark fruit, toffee, caramel, citrus hops. No grape lollipop, thank goodness. That would be gross. Mouthfeel is slick, smooth, and not all that boozy. Tasty stuff.

This is a very drinkable Barleywine if that is a thing. Everything here seems balanced. There is caramel/toffee sweetness, slight crispness from hops, but it’s balanced right down the middle where other Barleywines tend to be very sweet or very bitter. I guess this is a nice hybrid between the English and American styles. I enjoyed it.
