Clear amber brew with adequate foam in the chalice. Could use a little more spritz for the quite substantial, malty body. Brewer calls this a "Strong Pale Ale," and indeed it is. It's also quite hoppy, and if they called it an IPA no one would object.
Clean an aromatic with resins and lime peel. Flavors of mango, and that dark fruity taste that I encounter in IPAs lately, like something was on browned on the grill. Tastes strong and rich.
The story on this one is that GABF judges noted it was "too dank for style." Hops are Siimcoe in the mash and dry hopped with Idaho 7. From the 16 oz can purchased from Blind Lady Ale House.
