Gneiss is named after metamorphic rocks, which are some of the oldest rocks found in The Giant's Causeway in Ireland.
At 4.2% ABV, this beer has a medium-light body and is highly drinkable. It is served on nitro for a creamy consistency. Its bitterness comes from a generous amount of roasted barley. Gneiss is not a beer meant for "babysitting". In Europe, the locals can tell the nationality of a person by how many rings left on their glass. Drink responsibly.

First had Gneiss, my first beer from Solid Ground, at Market Beer Company, San Pedro Square, San Jose, California, on draft into pint tumbler.
Beautiful beer, very much on style, with a hint of cocoa in the classic dry finish to add interest.
