Picturesque late summer sunsets… how can we create a beer that mimics these works of art? It would need to be bright and fluffy, yet colorful and quenching. Pealing only the bright outer skins of oranges and lemons, we’re able to infuse tasty sunshine into a light pale ale. This beer tries to attract all your senses, without the added fruit sugar. But like a sunset, when it’s gone, we want it back.

16oz can at share. Pale golden with a mild haze, small cap of head. Aroma is citrus, orange peel. Taste brings more citrus, adding a hint of lime to the mix.

Picked this up recently at Total Wine in West Orange as this was the first beer that I ever had from Hoboken Brewing. No doubt that this had a lot of zest in it but besides that, there wasn't a lot of depth of variance to it. Perfect for lazy summer days and sunsets, this was a decent brew to kick back with but was one of the weaker American Pale Ales that I've had...

Not surprisingly, this had a dark golden hue to it that looked like murky orange juice. A *ton* of thick sediment was in this as it seemed like the zest was never completely filtered out! This looked like a lava lamp as I poured it out as the excess rose like a wave every time I took a drink. Lots of orange and lemon zest in the aroma along with white grape and turbid fruit as this could have smelled a lot more brighter and fresh. The taste was just as dark as there seemed to be a heavy citrus, floral, and wine component to it. There could have been more lacing to this as a few hints of rings near the middle of my pint glass. Even the aftertaste was odd as this felt like vegetable soup with the fruit flavors giving way to that.

Not a lot of booze here as this would have been a near-perfect session beer had it been brighter in taste and feel. A light slickness lingered on my palate once this went down, but that was on par with how this felt. Canned on 7/30 of last year, this could have been more fresh but for being as old as it was, it didn't hold up well. Glad to try a new brewery but this could have left a better first impression!

A: The beer is hazy pale yellow in color and has lots of visible particulates floating in suspension. It poured with a short off white head that left a thick layer of bubbles covering the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of lemon and orange zest are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has citrusy flavors of orange along with notes of lemon and orange zest. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The smell and taste of this APA are quite zesty so this beer definitely lives up to its name.
