My first ever Tripel that is not Belgian ; ) Seems to have coriander, cardamon and honey added...black goat on the label is wearing red wellington boots, not sure why ; )
Looks totally amazing in my wine glass, and shines beautifully in the dim light. Kind of sweet, christmassy, spicy aroma...with some tobacco and smokey elements. Unique, sophisticated and definitely inviting...
Very interesting and unique taste. I have had expensive whiskies that remind me of this a bit...it's the kind of beer where you need to totally forget every other beer that you have ever tried, and what style this is meant to be, and just try and appreciate autonomously without any external influences or programmed ideas ; )
Feel is mega complex and multidimensional, there is an overwhelming smokiness that engulfs all of the other elements, yet there is still a hoppy fruity interioir that transports you to the beautiful land, maybe even paradise, of red wellington boot wearing black goats.
This is the perfect beer for a smoke, especially a cigar or wacky backy, for sure (if you have never been to Wales, you probably don't know what that is ; )).
I liked it more the first time I tried it than the 2nd time, so I have changed the score slightly...

Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma has yeast esters and grainy malt notes, mostly sweet wheat. Taste is bitter and yeasty with damp grain notes. Medium body with medium to low carbonation. Overall it's a well balanced beer but it has quite some flaws.
