16 oz can acclimated to 52°F and poured into a nonic pint glass.

Pours a clear, slightly dark amber with a 4+ finger, rocky, cream colored head. It lasts a long time, retreating to large clumps and leaving a few clumps of lacing, but otherwise nothing.

Initial aroma is warm and yeasty, with some hints of fruit esters, very much an ale and very inviting. Sniffing again, I notice what seems to be that banana clove bubblegum trio we know from a hefeweizen, and it's great here.

Initial taste before swallowing is immediately strongly clover honey, it has that waxy taste/feel (not unpleasant ), and that umami bitterness in the bottom of the mouth that I get from honey, too. I notice that it's very sweet, it has some yeast to it, and there's a light white floral note in the back of the throat a little later on.

After swallowing I first notice a smooth, sweet, and waxy honey taste that coats the whole palate and throat, developing that light white floral note, then that honey bitterness, along with a hoppy bitterness that grows fairly strong, tasting earthy and grassy, and lasts into the finish, where it sits in the bottom of the mouth and in the front of the throat, along with the honey taste. Another sip yields bitterness earlier on. A further sip suggests a note of soy sauce, and a further, smoke.

Feel is very nice! It's creamy and smooth and goes down very pleasantly. The carbonation is very long lasting, and also responds to the beckoning of agitation. It aids in the form of a nice creamy bubbly feeling.

Overall this is a really solid beer! I like it a lot! I got wavering intensities of honey, but I find that same thing often with adjunct flavorings. Very pleasant flavors and very pleasant blending and transition of flavors. I found the bitterness a bit high, but nothing I couldn't handle, and still very very nice. Overall a wonderful beer with a great feel and a lovely color.

Definitely would buy this one again, and I've already recommended before posting this review.

16 oz can.

Pours a cloudy amber gold color with a large sudsy off-white head. Excellent head retention. Leaves some clingy cobweb lacing.

Aromas of doughy malts, light phenols, earthy hops, and a touch of honey.

The flavor is fruitier than the nose, and the honey is more pronounced. Finishes earthy and slightly bitter. Plenty of sweet malt on the back.

Feel is medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth, with a bone dry finish.

Overall, a pretty good Belgian pale. The honey is a nice addition without detracting from the traditional flavors you'd expect from the style.

Can from the brewery.
Pours a mostly clear deep amber color with a tightly bubbled frothy off white head that shows great retention. Earthy toffee maltiness with earthy fruity hops to counter. Light smokey phenol, faint nectar.
