Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a large slightly off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of smoky flavours with light earthy hops si quite enjoyable. Taste is a nice mix of caramelized malt notes with some residual sugar notes with some smokey favours that are well balanced with the other flavours. Body is about average with good carbonation. More of a smoked beer then an IPA but excellent drinkability with good level of complexity.

Slightly murky dark amber color with moderate activity. Creamy and frothy beige 3-4 finger head, lasting around 10-15 minutes, with good legs and swirl reaction. Flavors of caramel, wood, smoke, dark grains, nutmeg, ginger, and herbal hops. Slick and oily medium body a moderate crisp. Medium to strong strength finish, a bit leafy and roasted with a moderate smoky effect. Feels more like a red ale or Marzen cross Rauchbier than actual marketed IPA. Freshness is okay and balance is alright but still more sugary than bitter. Overall good quality craft.
