Notes via stream of consciousness: Well this should be interesting. I don't recall having a beer with Rakau hops before, but they smelled kind of like Mosaic when I first cracked it open. It's poured a very hazy golden body beneath a finger's width of rocky white foam. The aroma is fruity with apricot, apple, and peach, and perhaps a light touch of pine. It's not the brightest aroma I've encountered in a DDH NEIPA but it's OK. I like it although it's really not that unusual. On to the flavor... the malt is basic, as is often the case as it lets the hops shine, and lightly sweet. The apricot comes through, as does the peach, the apple, some pear, some plum, and maybe a little bit of berry. Well, that is different! It's not an eye opener, but it is unique. On the back end it's a bit earthy, resinous, spicy, and piney, and that helps to dry it although, as noted, it's not really that sweet to begin with. In the mouth it's medium-light in body and gently crisp. This is a really drinkable beer. How strong is it? Ahh, just 6.5%, so that makes sense. Definitely worth trying.

Nice hazy. Slight grapefruit notes, perfect smooth finish, easy drinker, definite go to IPA, compares well with 7th Sun Headbanger....
