L: Poured from a bottle to a snifter glass. Had a dirty orange color and an extremely cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Not a whole lot of lacing here.
S: A big, fruity aroma of citrus fruit, tropical fruit, yeast, wood and malt.
T: Tasted of a bit of yeast (a subtle presence, kind of overpowered by the other elements), some citrus fruit (orange, it would seem), a tinge of malt (mostly in the finish; not a huge factor), and an absolute ton of tropical fruit (the advertised guava and passionfruit). A sweet, tart, slightly vinegary flavor. Lively, complex, and delicious.
F: A highly carbonated beer with a sharp, vibrant finish. Medium-bodied.
O: One of the best sours I've had in a while. Drinkable.

Poured bubbly golden with virtually no head. Smell starts the passionfruit is a big sour and acidic way, with the guava and slight wheat supporting. Huge, powerful aroma! Taste is also uncompromising, demanding you pay attention to the sour and acidic passion fruit, then guava, and then oak. No it is not complex, but wow does it pack a punch! Feel is powerfully acidic and puckering sour, hello heartburn. Could be a little more refined on the edges of feel, but overall delivers on the tropical sour vision.

This really passion fruit forward sour also expresses plenty of mature oakiness, and it comes a little close to vinegar but not quite, with a silky smooth, light body and a soft crisp fizz finishing semi-dry. My third sleeper hit at Huna day this year, and the people seemed to agree, giving them an award!
