Appearance: Pours a mostly hazy (30% clarity), medium orange color with a moderate white head. SRM of 8. (3.75)
Aroma: Moderate aromas (mild for the style) aromas of grapefruit citrus, pineapple, passionfruit. Some orange spice and slightly plastic note follows. (3.75)
Flavor: Juicy and sweet resinous flavors of pineapple, passionfruit, and grapefruit and orange juice. Some resinous tropical sweetness. (3.75)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Lower carbonation. Feel is sweet and sticky of juice. (3.75)
Compared to Hop Butcher Oblong 4/24/22: Pours a darker, clearer color. Milder aromas. More resinous and sweet grapefruit, pineapple, orange. Less citrus flower and creamy tropical notes. Juicier, but not as creamy. Winner: Oblong
Overall: Doesn't stand up to the national NEIPA standard. A pretty juicy and sweet IPA here. It has a grapefruit, pineapple, and passionfruit, juicy orange flavor. Resinous and leans sweet. The body needs some more carbonation. Leaves that macro IPA DDH orange, plastic hop burn flavor on the palate. Not overwhelming and a good IPA, but for the price and distribution of the NEIPA, I expected a little bit more. Decent to average for local haze, but not worth trying for the price or on a national level. (Final Rating: 3.73)

Pours a hazy straw yellow color with nice head and lacing. Smell is fruity and tropical . Taste has citrus melon, berries and papaya. A very soft creamy mouth feel with some lingering bitterness, Twas veery good for the style/

A nice surprise from Tallahassee, FL. Acquired it in a 4-pack from a local Tampa store specializing in all Florida beers. I've been to the brew pub in Tallahassee and enjoyed their offerings from about 3 years ago. This IPA impressed me even more than the ones on tap. All in all, it's a well balanced IPA as good as the top 100. Do enjoy.

This beer—at least to me—is PERFECT! I've tried a bunch of Tree House and other NEIPA beers and this is the closest to Tree House's Juliius/Doppelgänger/Haze I've had. It's the very best reason to brave the Coronavirus outbreak and make a trip to the Florida Panhandle. Absolutely fantastic beer!!!
