On tap at Hawthorn Bottle Shoppe
Poured into 16 oz Arnold Schwarzenegger shaker glass yields a cloudy yellow/ orange color with a 1 finger white soapy head, medium lacing
Aroma is melon and some grassyness
Taste is melon some citrus and malt. Neither aroma or taste is very pronounced
Mouthfeel is on the heavy side, low carbonation and slightly bitter finish
Overall it’s very drinkable but it’s pretty average as that style goes.

16 fl oz pull-tab can:

"Hazy India Pale Ale" brewed with "Strata / Citra / Lemon Drop." 7% ABV.

Collaboration with Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe. $4.49 USD plus tax per single can at a beer store in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Vague citrus. 2-row/pale malts. Indistinct fruit. I don't get any grapefruity or cannabis-redolent flavour from the Strata, nor Lemony flavour from the Lemon Drop - but Lemon Drop does bring ample melony/cantaloupe flavour in addition to very faint green tea-redolent flavour and some obvious floral notes.

It's sort of the beer equivalent to biting into a cantaloupe, but it's more complex than that description makes it sound.

Balanced enough but worse off for being unfiltered. Smooth, wet, juicy, drinkable, medium-bodied, overcarbonated.

It's a likable turbid IPA but not a mindblowing one. In the oversaturated (sub)style, it doesn't stand out.
