What happens when a red-headed Irishman goes to sea? A hoppier Irish Red? Or a slightly sweeter Red IPA? Whichever, it is delicious and easy drinking. This is an experimental modification of our popular 7 Seas Red IPA.

I had this beer on-tap in a bowtie schooner glass at the brewery in Oak Harbor.
Appearance: medium copper hue with nearly no haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: bready and yeasty with kind of an earthy hop character. It’s fine, but it doesn’t entice me.
Taste: bready malt with an earthy overall character and some earthy hops. Bitterness is on the high side. Like the aroma, it isn’t gross or anything, it just doesn’t entirely work for me.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: like I said, the beer is fine, it doesn’t have any great flaws; it just doesn’t greatly appeal to me.
