Venn Double Pilsner.
9.2 % ABV. 55 IBU.
Venn Brewing, Minneapolis, MN.
Clear, bright golden color, slim, white, soon-gone head.
In the nose: Slightly sweet, mostly malty, a little grainy. Clean. Little bit of hops.
In the mouth: Jumps on the palate crisp, clean, light, and looming. Greater potency awaits, I'm sure. Flies off the palate with ease. Light bodied. Easy drinking, but for the booze a'coming. Just a touch of bitterness on the palate, followed swiftly by grainy malt.
Halfway in, the boozy bits are flaring up. I liked it, I could drink it. "nuff said.
Lemon pepper, crisp, clean. A scaled-up version of Venn's house Pilsner.
Malts: Pilsner
Hops: Tettnanger (Germany); Loral (United States)
Yeast: American Lager
And: Dextrose
