Dark ruby to black pour. One of the best heads I have ever seen on a beer. Like a picture. Sweetness on the first sip and then perfect balance in the malt. They source their own water and there is a similar mineral taste in all of their beers making for a unique taste. Very roasted flavor but not near a smoke beer taste. Dangerously drinkable. Alcohol is not hidden but in a good way. Full mouthfeel. Really enjoyed this brew.

8 ball black--but also dark brown, or at least not fully black--with a tall, dense light tan head that retains well and leaves nearly full curtains of lace.
Wooly continues to impress with this interestingly complex Baltic that exhibits several attributes I'm not sure I've experienced in the style before. The roast is almost like BBQ bark without smoke or char, and while there are hints of toasted cacao, it's not chocolatey. It's almost seedy and nutty in its toastiness.
The frothy medium body finishes semi-dry, going down very smoothly with no indication as to its stronger constitution.

Notes taken at the brewery:
Dark brown body, nearly black; thin yet rich and creamy, light khaki colored head. Fantastic dark malt grain aroma; rich sweetness. Sweet, dark roasted grain husk smell; earthy sweetness; mild bitterness from the grain and hops. Heavy body; velvety smooth; rich residual sugar feel.
Simply delicious; rich and luscious.

I'm trying this beer off the at the brewery as part of a five sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with white head that left some lace. The scent had hints of roast malt base with chocolate notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle roast malt base offering dark chocolate and roast. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with subtle carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Bottle (listed at 7.1%):
Modest head on a non-aggressive pour, there is a medium thick creamy collar that the etched glass helps support. The bubbles unroll against the opposite of the glass each sip, and roll back up as I set the glass down.
The aromas have a light roast to their maltiness. A little root-like spice is included - not much, but an aspect I get in some Baltic Porters that brings a bit of a cola-like impression. Combining an increase in the liquid's temperature with deeper inhalations brings a little bit of a rich nuttiness to the party.
The pour itself showed no thickness, and the body comes to be as right around medium (helping solve nothing of a side debate). The carbonation level doesn't lighten the feel, and the boldness of the flavors do leave the beer feeling a little more full. The flavors of well-roasted malt, and that light cola-like spice remind me of what I smelled a couple seconds ago, but there is a dark bread aspect included in the taste. There is a little bit of a sweetness that comes through after the opening char fades, but that spice note balances that well.

Thanks again Corey!
Black pour with walnut highlights and capped by a light tan, thin foam. Minimal lacing and retention, and I can't help but notice this guy looks rich and thick. Weird.
Heavy char on some white bread. A touch of molasses and an earthy tone.
Very nice toasted bread crusts with a burnt caramel glaze. A mildly metallic flavor with just a hint of root beer like spices in the finish.
This is a really full feeling Baltic Porter. Almost creamy. Slightly on the sweeter side with just enough of that char to balance with a roasty bitterness.
Being nitpicky, the one knock I have is that it's a little too rich for my liking of the style. It has much more of stout like ale feel than a well lagered Porter. But again, nitpicking.
