Foggy acorn brown with a short but puffy khaki head that settles to an unevenly bubbly collar.
This "non-rye" version leans more towards classic brown qualities with hints of coffee, cocoa, toasty melba and a little crabapple tang after the bubbly carbonation dies to a semi-dry finish.
The medium-light but frothy body is quite satisfying, but the overall expression comes nowhere near to the achievement that is their wonderful Rye Dunkel.

Dirty, light brown body with a respectable creamy head. Fine nut-like aroma. A fantastic caramel and roasted nut flavor; cream ale soda with a woodsy bitterness. Medium body; smooth but also some prickly bite.
