Hazy brownish-red mixing to an almost prune juice color with a moderately short but creamy khaki head leaving wavy lace.
A collision of malt and yeast come to such a fine collaboration that it's harder for me to pull individual characteristics out than any other hefe or dunkelweizen I've had. It's not roasty or toasty, or banana or clovey--at least not in a way that bashes you over the head. There are, however, notes of tangy pear skin, and perhaps a little of their water minerality.
The frothy medium-light body finishes semi-dry.

Notes from the brewery:
Cloudy, brown body; thick, dense and creamy, bone-white head. Sweet aroma; banana and cloves present; wheat-like; light caramel. Mild flavor overall; light malt; light esters; no perceived bitterness. Relatively heavy mouthfeel; great residual sugar feel on the palate; semi-sweet.
Nice if somewhat boring.
