Lightly fogged up pale and dull straw yellow with a densely puffy white head.
Even though I'm pretty much the opposite of a fresh hop fan, whatever that is, I find them to actually impart a pleasantly floral bouquet here, unlike the typical nutty or vegetal qualities I often get. They also add a brightly cleansing citrus peel before their typically pleasant, though less prominent, Rustic Helles malt profile does its thing.
As good as it is, regular ol' Rustic is still the goat for me.

In 2024, it's not quite at the same level, for me, and they also changed the name to Fresh Hop Helles, at least as handwritten on the label. While I'm either not interested in or too lazy to create a new entry and/or review, it's worth noting that it's now far closer to what I typically experience with fresh hop beers. It's much nuttier this year, well past corn nut on into peanut. Though it's still crisply refreshing and clean, it's not my preferred expression. Fresh hops really do add an unusual weight to the palate that seem almost psychological, like it's not really there, but it's there.
