Appearing as though partially opaque, the clearly bronze at the edges, the body is largely dark brown under a tall tan head of dense foam.

Much more bitter than I expected, though I know the base was quite the bitter DFH brown-like, the squash doesn't seem to add much flavor, sweetness or body. I'm not even sure I really detect it. Piney and resinous with lightly toasty malt, a satisfying swallow becomes a little catty in the sunlight over time.

That last piece is, of course, not the beer's fault, but the cute little piglets attempting to bite into discarded pumpkins on this beautiful day, demanding my full and undivided attention out in the open air.
