8 ball black with a lumpy dark tan souffle head that retains well.

First sip unveils pretty punchy, spicy whiskey, light caramel and pepper. Chocolatey maple supports, but in a softly crisp way, as then emerges a little dusty oak that's more subtle with less heat than first whiff or taste suggests.

Perhaps exhibiting a touch of licorice, it's otherwise very cohesive and well put together, not messy at all, and frankly more enjoyable than the non-ba version was. Mature without being obscene.
