A:
It pours pretty clear dark straw with a short lived finger of white head. Ok retention; hardly any lacing. (4)
S:
Proper funk. Spicy, dry, barnwood, barnyard, bright acidic twang. (4.25)
T:
Follows the nose. Über dry, lemon pepper, baguette crust, earthy with a tarnish snap for the finish. (4.25)
M:
Dry as a bone, active carbonation, really refreshing, lingering light tart character. (4.25)
O:
A very tasty beer.
It looks very nice. There isn't a monster head but it is pretty nice either way. The aroma is just what I'd hoped for. Dusty, musty, vaguely tart, bready, peppery. The flavor follows suit. There is an interesting fatty (butter/yogurt) savory flavoring the finish that takes away a little in my mind, but it also makes it more complex and It is a great beer regardless. A very fine saison (or something along those lines). I'd love to try more from these guys. (4.25)

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
