L- Deep chestnut, clear, pours with a 2mm mid-tan head that dissipates as quickly as it's reformed. When I top-up the glass some sediment was lifted right at the end of the can.
S- Distinct honey notes.
T- Oh yes, I taste honey too. It also seems to have a hint of smoke to it, plus cocoa? As it warms a touch the honey becomes a bit perfumed, maybe start it off well chilled.
F- It's not really outright sweet but the honey certainly gives it a rich side. It has modest hoppy dryness into the finish.
O- I see it states that it is a 'Honey & Almond Porter'. I get the honey though not the almond and it seems pale to me for a porter. I think the honey materially over-dominates here. I can finish this one but wouldn't buy it again.
440ml can BB: on a paper lable on the base of the can! = 30/09/2021 Bought from TremblingMadness/York as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.
