Thought this was a New England styled IPA and poured into a tulip. So I left it there. Here are the rest of my thoughts.
The appearance was a semi-bright woody yellow to orange color with a slim cap of white foamy head. Falls off delicately and left a concave lace roaming about.
The aroma had a strong lemon peel bitter to semi-sweet hop ordeal going on with a little bit of the sweet side of some lemon. Some grassy hop tones and tropical fruit sweetess.
The flavor starts with some lemon bitterness then strolls into the sweetness but then comes back to blend more so as it warms. Mild aftertaste of lemon peel and pulp with some bitterness but a nice smooth bitterness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Some smoothness. Bitterness seemed contained enough. Finishes semi-crisp and a super subtle piney-edge far underneath.
Overall, yeah, actually the more I see it, the more I do see it as an American IPA after all.

16 oz. can packaged on 12/06/19.
Moderate pour yields a one inch pure white head over a hazy golden body with some lacing. Nice nose of citrus (mostly orange with a bit of grapefruit) and slight tropical fruit (mango.) Taste doesn't quite live up to the nose's hype due to the citrus pith bitterness right out of the gate that doesn't quite do it for me. Oh well; good feel and overall, I would certainly smell this one again.
Cheers!!
