Aroma dances between roasty coffee and juicy raisins. Complex evolving flavors of brown sugar, tamarind, tangerine, ginger, carob, and chicory on the palate. Light body with a sturdy minerality and a dry finish. Copper-brown and bright.

A - dark brown clear in color with tons of carbonation that settles to a good ring.
S - Not getting much coffee in the nose just sweet dark fruits and some brown sugar.
T - well it's sweet and balanced has a sort of cherry soda vibe to it but malty sweet and in the finish canned candied plums. If there is coffee in this it's very well blended.
M - At 10.4% current ABV it's so smooth and drinkable the carbonation really helps to even out the body.
Perplexed by this it's a very different beer had bourbon quads regular ones but never a coffee one. Good stuff!

This is a unique style. Sometimes coffee is added to make up for a mistake but it works here. Light brown with minimal head. The coffee is subtle. I was worried that it might overpower the Belgian style, but it really was slight and very complimentary. Aroma was closer to a traditional Belgian...bananas, floral, and light hops. Great flavor and a lot of it. Malty mixed with light hops and coffee on the after taste.
Smooth drinking and a great beer.

Dark copper / orange hued body; gently rising carbonation; respectable head, thick and soapy. Wet coffee grounds and lightly toasted grain smell; dark pitted and dried fruit well-hidden in the background. The taste amplifies the aroma; excellent toffee sweetness; pronounced coffee overtone; figs and dates. Heavy body; velvety with soft residual sugars; coffee dryness, almost ash-like interacting with a dull sweetness throughout.
An interesting and unique tasting beer that brings a strong coffee presence to the big malt base beer. Personally, the ash-like quality subtracts some of the appeal of the beer, but I'd drink more without hesitation.

Pours quite dark, but still to style. Very little head, even less head retention. Aroma is of medium roast coffee and candied fruits with a background of malt and light alcohol.
The stated ABV is a bit light for a quad, but the light body matches nicely with the brightness of the coffee flavors. It's nothing like any other Belgian Dark Strong Ale I've ever had, while at the same time still being pretty obviously a BDSA. This is on-trend in it's use of coffee, bringing a more modern, nuanced coffee flavor to the beer, rather than the one-note "coffee" flavor of the coffee stouts of the early 00s.
Overall, an unusual beer for it's style and really interesting. I'd drink this again.

A: The beer is hazy dark amber in color. It poured with a short off white head that left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of coffee beans are present in the nose along with hints of dark fruits.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the flavors of dark fruits are a tad bit stronger.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This quad isn't as fruity compared to other beers in the style given its use of coffee. It is rather easy to drink considering its strength.
Serving type: can
