Ordered from Tavour. Poured into an imperial pint glass.
Look: interesting purple (red-ish hue), small head that disappears quickly, no lacing as we drank.
Smell: smells of blueberry and maple, with hints of vanilla. For an IPA there is no pine at all in the nose.
Taste: sour, sweet front end with maple and berry in the nose. The middle is berry, maple and sour malt. The end is maple and a hint of trailing vanilla that extends the maple well past the drink. For a 8% it is difficult to find any boozy character. No bittering at all.
Feel: light mouthfeel with tickle of carbonation. For a taste and unfiltered beer there is no pulp or typical thickness that are typically associated unfiltered fruity beers.
Interesting beer. First couple sips and we really did get blueberry pancake with maple syrup. Ratings on Tavour were not good, but interestingly enough Bren really liked this one because she loves maple and the tart berry character really had us going back for more. For an 8% it is not boozy at all and for an IPA there is no bitter or piney notes.

A: The beer is clear but very dark red in color. It poured with a narrow collar of light pink bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of maple are present in the nose along with notes of blueberries.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional hints of vanilla and milk sugar.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has lots of maple in the smell and taste and makes for a nice selection to pair with a dessert.

Pours cloudy berry purple. Pink head dissipates to a lacing.
Aroma is of sweet bready malts, maple, fresh berries and citrus.
Flavor is of citrus, maple syrup, pancakes, fresh berries and mild dry hops.
Medium body, tingly carbonation.
Interesting tart IPA, the pancakes and syrup come through genuinely and work surprisingly well. Pretty enjoyable and worth trying at least as a novelty.
