500 ml bottle
Pours opaque black. Dark tan head is finely textured, dissipates to a ring.
Aroma of cocoa, caramel, molasses, honey, fig, leather, and oak.
Flavor is of molasses, leather, tobacco, mesquite, oak, honey, caramel, coffee, cream, and bourbon. Roughly in that order through the evolution.
Body is thick and velvety, booze warmth on the tongue and going down.
Excellent sipping stout. The bourbon really comes through in the aftertaste. Super smooth, extremely rich but not overly sweet. A very nice beer to spend an evening with, hopefully I can get a couple more to cellar.
