16oz can purchased from the fridge as a single from a local bar/bottle shop for $4.41. Canned on date says PARTY BOY 3/7/23, so this beer is just 12 days old.
Look: Pours a very pale golden straw color. There was a small off-white head that dissipated pretty soon after the pour. It's almost perfectly clear.
Smell: This has a lot of dankness. In addition, I get some tropical and citrus notes of papaya, melon, grapefruit, and a bit of passion fruit. I think that it's the Nelson Sauvin that's coming through most on the nose. Pine and green bell pepper on the finish. It smells very nice.
Taste: Very tasty. The grapefruit and tropical flavors up front contrast really nicely with the sharp, bitter, peppery bite on the back end of this beer. The finish is very dry, significantly bitter, and lingers long. Very piney and grapefruit pithy, makes you want to come back for more. It's very drinkable and very enjoyable. It's a West Coast IPA all the way!
Feel: For me, this is exactly what I would want in terms of mouthfeel for a 6.5% West Coast-Style IPA. It's on the lighter side of medium body with lively carbonation and a slightly chewy mouthfeel.
Overall: My first beer from Cinderlands Beer Company. There's just something about Nelson Sauvin West Coast-Syle IPAs that I really enjoy. Half Acre's Vallejo is one of my favorites, and I am also enjoying this very much.
