From the tall boy can in a snifter via Bluejacket---nuts---it was hidden in
the doomsday brew closet! Still good though.
This solid little smash pours a chill hazed amber with a nice head
of white foam that subsides to a thick ring, thick clumping layer,
and sports some nice lacing. Nose of pine touched hops, heavy
grapefruit zest, and sweet honey malts. Flavors surpass the nose
by presentation with grassy, herbal, and pine touched hops with
heavy yellow grapefruit notes and honey malts with touches of grains.
Nice mouth feel; medium body, medium light carbonation, and a
sticky pine and grapefruit finish.
Overall---solid for the style!
Cheers

16 ounce can, no dating on it but purchased a 4-pack of it at the taproom/brewery last Saturday after trying a sample. Not sure if the can is the same ABV as the draft version, but their board for this beer this past weekend said it was 5.6% ABV (no ABV listed on the label). Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear copper color with about an inch or so off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like pine/grassy hops, tea, bready malt and grapefruit. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but with the addition of a hint of floralness. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good all around SMASH IPA, it was a nice change of pace for me. Definitely worth picking up if you're in or around Zanesville!
