I got a couple tall boy cans of this beer from the brewery whilst meeting up with my old college roommate. It poured a dark clear amber with no head and no lace. The scent had dark multi-grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet malt base with dark bread and yeast presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

From the tall boy can in a snifter via Bluejacket74---Cheers brother!
This solid ale pours a chill hazed dark brown with a fantastic head of
off white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin clumping layer,
and displays some excellent lacing. Nose of dark roasted malts,
nutty malts, faint char, subtle dark fruit, and toffee notes. Flavors
hit the mark nicely with definite roasted nuts, dark cocoa, toffee,
subtle dark fruits, faint coffee, subtle char, and hints of smoke.
Nice mouth feel; medium body, medium light carbonation,
lightly coating, and finishing subtly dry.

Overall, one of the better brown ales I have had this year
if not the best.

Excellent!

Cheers

16 ounce can, no canning date that I noticed. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like caramel, toffee, nuts and roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, with caramel, roasted malt, nuts, chocolate and earthy flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a solid overall brown ale, I liked it. Worth trying if you make it to Zanesville!
