Joey Bitchin’s Bourbon Barrel Stash Barrel 2

16 ounce bottle, 2018 vintage. Purchased at the brewery last weekend, I believe Barrel 2 is their bourbon barred aged version of Downtown Brown with no additions. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown with almost an inch tan head that stuck around a little while. There's a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice and sweet, the brew smells like bourbon, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar and raisins. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some dark bread and woody flavors noticeable too. Good amount of barrel character here, not too much but not too little. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's coating, smooth and easy enough to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was good, definitely worth a try if you ever stop in at Y Bridge!
