Joey Bitchin’s Bourbon Barrel Stash Barrel 3

16 ounce bottle, 2018 vintage. Pretty sure it was a December 2018 release. Purchased at the brewery last weekend, Barrel 3 is their bourbon barred aged version of Downtown Brown but with the addition of Kossa Geshe Ethiopian Coffee from One Line Coffee. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown wih about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like bourbon, vanilla, coffee, toffee, raisins and brown sugar. Taste is similar to the aroma, with coffee, vanilla, bourbon, brown sugar, dark bread, plum, wood and dark bready flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and easy to drink with moderate carbonation. I do like the coffee addition to this, I liked the Barrel 2 but I think the coffee adds a little something extra. Hopefully there will be some more left the next time I go to Y Bridge because I wouldn't mind picking up another bottle or 2!
