I'm not sure what I was expecting but it wasn't a semi-rural family brewery just past an Eagles. Even early on a Sunday, there were a few families already chilling and playing board games with their children. There's not a ton of tables, but there's plenty of space between them, and you're surrounded by all kinds of entertaining eye candy in the form of comedic graffiti parodying pop culture iconography.
The taplist is way longer than I anticipated, so I grabbed a flight of five of their haze features while the old lady picked up a flight of their juicier stuff. It was a thoroughly enjoyable variety that kept us around long enough to find out there's actually food out the back door.
It was a rainy day, so we didn't get the full effect, but there's a fairly sizeable courtyard where the Shakedown food container is located, which we did order from, promptly blasting our faces off with some Italian beef and Chicago dogs.

The Dankhouse is sort of out on it own in the town of Newark. The inside is a bit cramped...but they have a huge outdoor space. There is no bar to sit at....only high tops and tables. The quality of the beer is top notch. The service was kind and attentive. The selection...I thought was a bit limited.....IPA, Stouts and Sours....was cool that they had some guest taps too....be sure to try the Taco Container out back....phenomenal!

Cozy taproom with a play area for the kids. Fun outside area with adult yard games and a weekly cornhole tournament. Good house beers, particularly their IPA's
