Had a clear dark amber color with a ½" white head and a wake of webby lace. The nose was sweet, of caramel malt and light toffee and some fruity esters. The taste had a pleasant malt flavor, sweetened with a light caramel and toffee note. The finish was also good with a well-defined hops bite. The feel was medium-bodied, clean and smooth.
This was Sierra Madre Brewing's best house beer. As far as the style goes, it wasn't any great revelation but still a solid, well-crafted brew.
