Had a prune color with some lighter edging, a ΒΌ" off-white head and patchy lace. The nose had some earthy malt, caramel and a light spicy, herbal hops aroma. A lingering mustiness was also carried to the nose. The taste was quite malty and sweet up front as caramel and some dark dark glided over the palate. The finish was faintly spicy and had an herbal hops bite. The feel was medium-bodied, smooth and clean.
A decent bock, sweet and smooth. Nothing earth-shattering, but it tasted good and stayed pretty true to the style.
