poured from a 32oz crowler into a franziskaner hefeweizen glass. pours a semi-cloudy golden orange with a thin layer of white foam. not nearly as turbidly cloudy as i prefer to see my hefeweizen ales nor did it throw as much head as i’d like to see. the clove and wheat notes are extremely strong on the nose, with banana and bubblegum in the background. taste follows with a heavy dose of wheat (think malted/malty wheat as opposed to raw wheat) with a banana and clove/cinnamon aftertaste thing going on. medium-full mouthfeel - it may be the saving grace of this pour. it’s not super well balanced but it’s not undrinkable either. not my favorite from these guys and it trends toward a little less refreshing due to the maltiness.
