draft pour at the brewery served in a nonic pint glass. murky, puddly looking amber with a half finger of off-white foam head. a little displeasing to say the least on the appearance. bounces back with very nice aromas of what can only be described as strawberry rhubarb pie. it’s as close as i’ve smelled to NG’s strawberry rhubarb, however, that’s not an aroma one stumbles across frequently (at least i haven’t). the taste comes nowhere near the nose as it starts off with that lovely strawberry sweet and rhubarb sour flavors but falls off on the backend leaving nothing but a bland, watery taste in my mouth. very disappointing since it started out so promising. a medium-full mouthfeel; nothing to complain about. it’s thick enough with a nice carb and it’s drinkable but it looked unappetizing and the taste just did not follow the nose.
