draft pour into a hefeweizen glass. pours a light blueberry lemonade type color with almost no head. blueberry on the nose with a touch of wheat and clove, but it’s not much. taste follows and while this isn’t a blueberry bomb by any means it’s definitely more of a fruit beer than a hefeweizen. thin, almost watery mouthfeel that is nowhere near the typical mouthfeel i associate with a wheat beer. feel like this had potential as a decent summer beer fit for patio drinking but it just didn’t deliver. i suspect here that the problem lies with the base beer because the addition of blueberries wasn’t overpowering by any means.
