draft pour into snifter. dark black appearance with almost two fingers of dark brown foam head. dark fruits, molasses, light chocolate all on the nose and taste. as it warms there’s some roasted malts and even roast / coffee flavors. medium-full mouthfeel; fairly chewy. not bad. i’ve had some barrel-aged variants of this on tap before but never had the base beer. glad to have tried.
