This beer is somewhat juicy but also more bitter than expected, which would be okay except it doesn't pair well with the malt profile. The end result seems unbalanced and there are some odd astringent/bitter/metallic notes as well. The can was undated so I'm unsure whether it may be simply old.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on December 19, 2018. Double dry hopped juicy IPA. Notes of sweet caramel malt and piney hops. Nothing special.

16oz can, snifter glass. Lighter copper body, slightly hazy, a bit cloudy, one finger white head, fair retention, not much lacing. Smell is sweet caramel, fairly sweet sugar, a bit of dry pine resin, grapefruit. Flavour is a bit bland, mostly a bit of caramel, sugar and pine resin, not much more to it than that. It actually tastes more like a west coast IPA than anything like a NE IPA. Mouthfeel is lighter medium bodied, light on carbonation, mildly zesty finish.

Had on tap. You now have my attention hacienda! Wow does this beer bring the fruit in the NEIPA style! I'm talking pineapple, guava, passionfruit, orange, lemon, grapefruit, all while not being that sweet thanks to the nice dry hopping. Smelling this one is a real treat, but the taste is pretty dang good too.

Poured 16oz can into snifter. Very hazy pale yellow color that looks like it could be pure OJ. Brilliant white 2 finger head that fades very slowly and leaves a thin collar and webbed lacing splattered around the glass. The aroma is bursting with juicy tropical and ripe citrus notes and a touch of sweetness. Flavor is also very juicy with plenty of pineapple, guava, papaya, tangerine and sweet grapefruit. A bit of sweet malt and maybe some yeast on the finish. Feel is medium with softer carbonation and a light bitter finish. This was sensational and I look forward to all the beer that will be made by Hacienda.

Solid NE style DDH beer. Like the pale ale a bit bit better but this burst with tropical flavors. Probably the best WI hazies ive had along with octopi.
