Nice hazy color, smell has notes of citrus. Has good "hazy" taste, nice tartness to complement the hops. At first, the mouth feel is good with adequate carbonation but at the end there is a little sticky-syrup feel. Would like a cleaner finish.

This is a very enjoyable beer. I like what Hacienda does.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on April 27, 2019. A juicy double IPA brewed with Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial hops. A nice interpretation of the style.

16oz can, snifter glass. Cloudy hazy yellow body, one finger white head, short retention and minimal lacing. Smell is grapefruit, sugary malt, a bit of caramel, a bit of herbal resin and a touch of tropical fruit. Flavour is a bit more astringent than expected, with not a whole lot of "juice" quotient to it, but has a fairly strong sugary malt presence, sweet citrus and a bit of resin. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, appropriate for a double IPA. Overall, doesn't come close to the "juicy" billing, but is otherwise a fairly decent double IPA that is good by Wisconsin standards.

Poured 16oz can into snifter. Hazy, orange color with a foamy 2.5 finger white head. Excellent retention and plenty of lacing coat the glass. It is a hoppy delight packed with tangy citrus fruit along with some grapefruit and ripe mango. Lighter malts provide a bit of sweetness. Plenty of hops with juicy flavors Simco stands out with the grapefruit, orange, and other citrus notes. Sweet malts come in the middle and give it the flavor some balance. Finish has some bitter and dryness to it. Full to medium body with a slick oily feel with excellent carbonation. Another enjoyable beer from Hacienda.
