Sample at The Doghouse Hamilton Bermuda.
Mostly clear deep golden bordering on amber with a thick off white head. Rick bready toasty maltiness with plenty of earthy citrus and pine to counter. Pretty stand up old school IPA, I ordered a pint of this.

Drank on tap at Marcus’, Hamilton, Bermuda
Served in a stange
Fantastic appearance. The crystal clear, medium amber liquid was topped by a frothy, finger-tall, bright white crown that lasted until nearly the drink’s end. A wall of streaky lacing coated the glass from top to bottom.
The aroma was really fruity and sweet but unusual for the style. Berry notes dominated. Strawberry definitely came to mind. Perhaps some raspberry too. There was a faint citrus presence that intensified as the beer sat.
The flavor profile was solid and a lot more typical of a West Coast-style IPA. Really citrusy. Orange and orange peel came through strong on the front end. The beer was anchored by a stiff but unobtrusive caramel malt backbone. Grapefruit was noticeable as the beer moved along the palate. Rind-like notes were apparent on the finish. Pine needles lingered after the swallow. Touch of bitterness. With time, the berry notes that were so prevalent in the aroma appeared in the flavor too.
Super frothy, fluffy mouthfeel. Medium bodied for the style. The beer contained a fine, fairly aggressive effervescence that really tickled the palate. Solid but perhaps a touch over carbonated.
I went to Bermuda anticipating that I would try a beer or two by one of their local craft breweries but expecting very little. On De Rock Brewing’s IPA, however, was surprisingly impressive. This beer had an interesting, bright, berry-like note in the aroma and a solid, West Coast-style IPA flavor profile. Overall, a solid overall offering that would probably be even more popular on the island if it was available in cans.
