Böser Geist Brewing

Finally stopped into Böser Geist after hearing some poor reviews about the place. Despite hearing that I still wanted to check it out since it's new and kind of popped up out of the blue. I was there on a Saturday night with a friend and there weren't many people there. In fact there may have been a total of 8 people sitting at a bar that seems like it could handle up to at least 30-40 people. The service was decent at first, the guy who took our order got us a tap list and the sampler we ordered promptly. He came back briefly to see how everything was but then disappeared for the remaining amount of time we were there. As for the beer, We ordered a sampler flight of 4 beers which only 3 were Böser Geist since two of their beers on the tap list were "sold out". There was a Belgian Dubbel, an American Stout and an Old Ale. The Dubbel poured out looking like a Tripel which immediately threw off a red flag for me. The other two looked fine. All the beers seemed a bit under-carbonated. They all came off to be a bit watery and not very complex. When we were finally tired of trying to get through the samples we waited for someone to ask if we needed anything else and that never happened. I had to walk down to the middle of the bar where a girl was standing and she wished me a goodnight and to please come again soon. I told her that I hadn't even paid yet and she was surprised. Had I known we could have just not paid I might have actually considered saving myself the $10. Sadly, Böser Geist is a very nice looking place in a neat spot in Easton but it just seems like they haven't quite figured shit out yet on several key levels. For their sake I hope they work out the kinks but I don't think I'll be stopping back until someone tells me things are starting to get better there.

Bad beer. Bad service. Generally an amateurish place.
Really bad beer. Except for the stout it all tasted similar and bad.
Our visit was brief, just checking it out.
They need a pro running the front of the house.
They need an experienced brewer to review what’s going on and at least taste the product. Everything was watery and flat. I do not know understand how some of these beverages — hard to call them beer - got to customers.
The place is initially appealing and bright. Very big. Not real clean in some spots. Sort of dull and character less like a spot you would stop in while waiting for a train or flight.

Only had 2 beers on tap. Got the sellout ipa and it was not very good.
