This was another beer that I picked up a few weeks back in Williamsburg as I never had this before nor had I ever heard of Woodstock. It's been unseasonably hot and muggy this week here but this hit the spot perfectly as it was easy to enjoy and was as much as Gose as it was a Fruited Kettle Sour, as this had no rough edges or overt harshness to it!
The pour to this was nice as the liquid was golden, a tad cloudy, and quietly radiant as a massive head topped it off. That was full of big bubbles which quickly popped as the sound of the foam receding was quite loud and reminiscent of a wave that broke on shore. No lacing was left behind, which was a bit of a surprise given the head and the rounded body that this had. Lots of dank pineapple, passion fruit, apple, and slick citrus in the soft nose as the taste followed suit. Hardly any yeast or funk present as this wasn't very sour but the carbonation gave it plenty of life from start to finish. Sweetness and tartness were at a minimum too with the back feeling the slightest bit like a farmhouse beer that had warmed up and indicated an impending change of seasons.
The ABV listed on the can was 4.1%, and not the 4 that was on this site but with so little here, who's to notice? A bit of dough and bread gave me enough to literally and proverbially chew on as this was a pretty quick sipper that I could have nursed for a while if I had to. Dated 4/29 on the bottom of the can, this was nothing fancy although it was nicely crafted and worthy of another go. Beers like this are help to make the summer more than just a time for watered-down brews for the pool or riding mower. The marble-like label was just the icing on the cake!

Pours looking like the Tropicana orange-twister juice. Fine, white sand head. Short lived because of the sour nature. Aroma is sweet citrus/tropical--melted pineapple jolly ranchers, clementine juice. Bittersweet flavor kicked off with passionfruit-lemon greek yogurt, plenty of sour lactic, and hints of brett, minerals and orange tang. Somewhat milky smooth feel with pops of bright acidity.
