Ruby brown and clear with no head and minimal lacing.
Nose is very boozy mixed with vanilla, caramel, malt, and apples.
Taste is oak, acetone, malt, apple, vanilla, and a boozy finish.
Mouthful is smooth but thin with little carbonation. Finish is warm and lingers.
A decent barleywine but unbalanced. Too heavy on the alcohol and a bit lacking on the flavors and mouthful. Drinkable but not as enjoyable as say Flying Mouflan (no hops found either).
