I think I had this beer before and found it a bit boozy. This sat for at least a year on the top shelf of my favorite beer shop, Sterk in Amsterdam. I freed it last week and it did impress. The booziness was gone instead there was a nice barrel character and and bright fruit salad in the nose. The Tequilla from the barrel was evident in the flavor but nicely integrated. The body was relatively thin for such a high abv beer which made it dangerously drinkable with the fine Belgium abby like carbonation. What a nice barrel-aged wheat wine!
